o law When two parties are offended or otherwise not dissatisfied but actively unhappy about their treatment by the law, it means the court is not functioning correctly (or whatever extention of the court is in play ie, citizenry, police, lawyer, council, politician).



That is,

When the court (etc.) is functioning correctly, ultimately at least one party should (and in more serious terms, all parties) be happy.
An outcome is only an outcome if and only if at least one party is happy and usually this means BOTH parties will in fact be happy (due to symmetry)


Furthermore, the police and citizenry can benefit from the fact that an outcome only exists if both parties are happy by avoiding engagement with more complex machina of the law

when people are unhappy *and* there are happy people the unhappy people are wrong
However the happy people can cheer them up:

they are not wrong necessarily.... in fact they may be more right than we are because we may be in their way and may be too slow to get out of the way:
