The principle of disagreement

NOT exclusively, however, when one can see that disagreement quite naturally separates things which are incompatible, one will understand that it is natural and occurs commonly in nature:

o two similar magnet poles oppose each other physically
o the ends of a galvanic battery have opposite polarity, and must be separated for the battery to not only function, but even exist
o colour in nature exists in a range of frequencies, but any given colour is a particular frequency at the exclusion of all others
o the Earth is 147.76 million kilometres from the Sun, and must be about that far for life to be supported on Earth
o different beliefs, races, religions, power structures, castes systems, and memes all exist for different purposes, defining by themselves within their own beliefs structures what is good for itself, and membership of a given belief structure denotes a differentiation from NOT being in that structure; furthermore, without the existence of that differentiation, by a boundary defined by membership and practice, the perceiving of any belief becomes impossible
o competition in business- within a given field or service are many competing Brands with different mentalities to a status quo
o differences in pigment and reflectivity make it possible for us to see our world with our eyes, differences which without, would be a mindless void



So even from a theoretical view, it is not at all unrealistic to expect differences to exist and coexist by means of separating boundary or insulating layer
In nature that layer is often space




The purpose of theoretical principle of disagreement is to work out whether the disagreement is due to the opposition being right, or wrong
o If it is right, you have to educate oneself;
o If it is wrong, you have to adjust your position, and educate your opposition
